Description
Penygraig is a cottage constructed from whitewashed rubble stone, featuring slate roofs made of small slates, stone gable copings, and whitewashed end stacks on both the crosswing and the ridge of the main range. The building has an L-plan layout, with the older cottage forming the crosswing at the north end, which projects to the east. The older section is built on boulder foundations and includes a 9-pane window in the rear north wall and a small loft light at the east end. On the south side, there is a 4-pane sash window to the right and a central door that is now situated within a loggia of an added early 20th-century wing. This wing features a full-height opening with two bays to the right, containing two 9-pane windows on the inner back wall, along with doors leading into each range at either end. To the left of the loggia, there are two additional 9-pane windows, and the south end gable includes a loft light and paired 9-pane windows.
