Description

The gate piers, gates, and attached walls at the end of the northern driveway to Y Glyn are constructed from coursed rubble masonry. The tall square gate piers feature a high plinth and are topped with pineapple finials, supporting wrought iron gates. The screen walls on either side are stepped down and set back, each containing two large circular openings that extend from the plinth to the coping. These openings have keystones, inset ironwork grilles, and dividing pilasters. At the ends of the walls, there are octagonal piers with freestone caps and finials, although the finial on the right pier is missing. The entrance to the driveway is paved with stone setts.
