Bodlondeb

Bodlondeb is a two-storey building featuring pebbledash elevations, complemented by a freestone cill band and plinth. It has slate roofs with bracket eaves and chimney stacks made of pebbledash and cement render, topped with stone necks. The Georgian section of the front is symmetrical with seven bays, showcasing advanced and splayed three-window end bays that have shaped parapets, architraves, and keystones. The windows are small pane sash windows, with configurations of 9 and 12 panes.

A central ashlar porch, likely added in 1909, features a parapet and a dentil cornice, along with a deep segmental hooded canopy supported by panelled and tapered piers. The entrance, which leads to No 2, has a lugged architrave and contains a tablet with a largely erased inscription, a six-panel door, and sash windows on either side. There are half-glazed inner doors with architrave and segmental pediments. To the left, there is a panelled door leading to No 1, also with a lugged architrave.

To the right, there is a four plus two-window Edwardian extension that is set back and features similar detailing, with the right-hand two bays being advanced. This section mainly contains small pane sash windows and has a half-glazed door leading to No 3, which is topped with a bracket lintel. A modern extension is located at the right end.

The garden front of the Georgian part mirrors the main front, maintaining the advanced end bays. The Edwardian section has a five-window front that is set back, featuring small pane sash windows and a six-panel door with a lugged architrave.

On the coastal path, there are remains of a small toll-house, which is not depicted on the 1841 Tithe map, unlike the house.

Inside, the building retains a fine Elizabethan dog-leg staircase made of Australian oak, featuring pierced balusters, square newels with finials, and a panelled dado. The large cellars are notable for their unusual slate 'boarded' ceilings.
