Description

The portal at the west end of Llandygai Tunnel is made of purplish red brick with pink sandstone detailing. It features a single round-headed arch leading into the tunnel, which is supported by rusticated voussoirs and flanked by raking pilaster buttresses. Above the arch, there is a corbelled stone cornice, along with an additional band of stonework at the parapet. The interior of the tunnel has a brick soffit.
