Description
The gate and gateposts, wall, and railings at Ebenezer Chapel date from the same period as the main chapel. The grounds are enclosed on all sides, with a wall along the northern boundary that matches the chapel's construction. The railings above feature Art Nouveau styling. At the eastern end, the main entrance gates consist of large square posts that are pebbledashed and rendered, topped with shaped capping. The double gates have alternating tall and short rails, with a central vertical rail featuring an inverted heart design within a scrolled surround, a motif that is repeated along the railings on either side. The top rail is shaped down to the center, with scrolled terminals on each side. The low walls flanking the gates are also pebbledashed and rendered, with bevelled capping. The railings above continue the stylised design along their length, with each design enclosed in a railed surround, topped with an arched panel.
