Description

The lighthouse on Holyhead Breakwater is a 19.2-meter high, square, tapering masonry tower that stands three stories tall. It is painted in alternating black and white bands and features chamfered angles and a stepped plinth. The openings have raised surrounds and matching recesses. There is roll-moulding over the ground floor, and a moulded cornice supports a walkway that encircles the circular lantern. The lantern itself has latticework glazing and a domed cap, which is topped with a weather vane and a ball finial.
