Description

Pilot's Cottage, formerly known as No. 2, is part of a pair of symmetrical cottages, which also includes No. 1. These cottages are connected by a whitewashed brick wall topped with flat stone copings. They are constructed of ashlar stone and feature angle quoins and slate roofs. Each cottage has two stories and a symmetrical three-window layout, with a central entrance located in a gabled porch that has a chamfered four-centred archway. Above the entrance, the Trinity House arms are displayed in relief. The flanking windows are small-paned sashes with transoms, set within stressed chamfered architraves. Similar windows can be found in the gable ends. The cottages have clustered diagonal shafts on the rear wall stacks and outshuts at the back, which include lean-to porches.
