Description

Hermitage Cottage is a 2-storey, 2-window cottage built of rubble stone, featuring a slate roof. It has a roughcast stack on the left and a pebble-dashed stack on the right. The central entrance consists of a replacement panel door with a thin overlight above it. On either side of the entrance are small-pane top-hung casement windows, which are set under replacement concrete lintels. Below the sills of these windows, there are brick jambs from former openings. The upper storey has similar, but smaller windows located in rendered gables. The gable ends of the cottage are pebble-dashed. At the rear, there is a blocked upper-storey window.
