Description
Ty Newydd is a two-storey cottage with two windows, constructed of rubble masonry and featuring large angle stones, which has been limewashed. The roof is made of old small slates that are grouted, with tiled coping and gable stacks; the left stack is rendered while the right stack has been rebuilt in red brick. The cottage is positioned at right angles to the road, with the entrance opening to the east into a small enclosed garden. The central doorway is flanked by windows, with the window to the left of the doorway being an enlarged opening with a four-paned sash window, while the other windows are modern small-paned casements. The first-floor windows are set directly under the eaves. At the rear, there is a single ground floor window and two first-floor windows; one is a small window at the left end and a larger central window that illuminates the stairs. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
