Description

The former Post Office is a two-storey cottage that has been extended at the rear with a single-storey outshut on the north end, which features a catslide roof. The building is constructed of rubble masonry that has been limewashed, with boulder foundations. The roof is covered with old small slates and has tiled coping at the left (south) end. There are rectangular gable stacks with dripstones and capping.

The principal elevation faces east and opens into a small yard. The ground floor openings on the north end are now boarded up but appear to mirror the panelled door and small-paned sash window at the south end, with windows flanking the paired doorways. On the first floor, there are two windows set directly under the eaves; the window to the south, located above the south doorway, is an uneven small-paned sash, while the window to the north, above the north window, is a larger four-pane horned sash. The rear elevation is not clearly visible, but it seems to have a small-paned first-floor light under the eaves.

The cottage is positioned at right angles to the road, and the south gable features a wide doorway leading into the rear outshut. To the left of this doorway is a single ground floor window, and to the left (east) end, there is a smaller first-floor window; both of these windows are four-pane fixed lights.

The interior was not inspected during the survey, but it is said to retain all internal fixtures and fittings.
