Agricultural range at Rhos y gad

The agricultural range at Rhos y Gad is designed in an L-shaped layout along the southwest and northwest sides of the farmyard. It is constructed from rubble masonry and features cambered voussoir heads above its openings. The roofing varies across the structure; the cowhouse has large slates arranged in diminishing courses with a tiled ridge, while the lofted stable roof is covered with small slates, part grouted, and also has a tiled ridge.

The southwest range is a single-storey section consisting of three cowhouses. It includes a small light at the left (southeast) end, and the central doorway has been partially infilled. The northwest range is lofted and includes a barn on the left, with lofted stables and a cartshed on the right. The doors in this section also have cambered voussoir heads, and wide opposing doors on the far left have been cut but are now blocked with breeze blocks. The yard is divided by rubble and breeze block walls, with a rubble wall positioned at right angles to this range, located to the right of the blocked doorway. To the right of this wall is a cart bay with a window above it, and two stables are situated to the right, featuring a flight of external stone steps that lead up to a loft door at the right (northeast) gable.
