Description

Stable range comprising 3 parallel buildings; 2 set along a slope, the 3rd offset to the E and downslope, to form an L-shaped plan with a linking single pitch roofed addition built in the angle. Built of rubble masonry, roofs of small slates with tiled ridge and copings. The first (southernmost) of the buildings has a doorway in each gable, that to E at a lower level, with voussoir head and doveholes in the gable apex above; the opposing doorway is a later cut. The parallel building to N is in alignment and linked to the first by means of a shallow pitched lean-to addition which has a doorway offset to the L. The parallel building has a wide doorway in the W gable, either a later cut or a widened original doorway, the E gable is obscured and there is access to the loft via a doorway in the N wall. The stable building offset to the E has a single doorway with cambered voussoir head to the L. The linking lean-to addition which links the three buildings has a doorway to the L side of the S gable and a roof of profiled metal sheeting.

Interior not inspected at the time of the survey.
