Description
Ty'n y Rhos is a two-storey, two-window cottage that features an agricultural range aligned with it. The cottage is constructed of rubble stone with roughcast on the dwelling and has a slate roof along with a rubble stone plinth. It has stone end stacks, with the one on the right being external. To the left, there is a lower adjoining range, likely a former stable. The front entrance is slightly offset to the left and has a boarded door, which is flanked by small wooden four-pane windows. Above the entrance, there are tall two-light casements with large panes.
The adjoining farm range is made of random stone and also has a slate roof, with openings that have segmental brick heads. There is a central entrance with split doors, and a planked door to the far right, between which is a small two-light casement window. Another similar casement is located at the far left. The west gable end features a large 20th-century six-pane window. The rear of the house is not roughcast and has no openings, while the rear of the farm range has a small wooden four-pane window to the left and a two-light casement to the right, both from the 20th century.
Access to the interior was not available at the time of inspection.
