Description
This is a tall, three-story, single-bay mill, likely dating from the 18th century and constructed of rubble stone with prominent quoins, some of which project. It is roofed with slate, and features a projecting stone stack on the north end. The glazing was replaced in the late 20th century. The front elevation, facing east, has a central doorway with a round-headed stone voussoir arch that is now infilled with plain glazing. Above the doorway is a tall, two-light wooden casement window, originally set beneath a flat stone voussoir head. A plain glazed window occupies the upper storey, rising to the eaves. The south gable end features a glazed door to the right, with a slate lintel above, and a small window to the left, also under a similar slate lintel; these openings were likely inserted later. Above the door is a tall, plain-glazed window with a timber lintel, possibly replacing an original doorway on the first floor. The north gable features a small stone window to the right of the stack, now infilled with rubble stone. The west elevation has no openings. The interior of the building was inaccessible at the time of inspection.
