Description
257-259 High Street in Linlithgow is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, four-bay tenement, with a grouping of three bays at the ground floor and one bay to the side. The building is constructed of stugged cream sandstone that is squared and coursed. It features a cill course at the first floor, an eaves course, and a blocking course with a tablet.
On the north elevation, the entrance is an off-centre left fanlit door, which is flanked by a tall window and a pend to the outer right. There are four windows on the first floor, all of which are 12-pane sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes ashlar coped skews, a rendered stack on the right gable, a slate-hung canted piended dormer on the left, and a rooflight on the right.
