Description

  1. 3-storey, asymmetrical Scottish Baronial tenement, crowstepped gable corbelled square turret with dovecot to right. Shop at ground, carriage pend. Snecked sandstone bull-faced rubble with ahslar dressings to S elevation. String course over ground floor, continuous cill course at 1st and 2nd floor, stops of both courses oeverlap downpipe.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central entrance flanked by carriage pend to left and large display window. Window to left bipartite window to right at 1st floor, segmental-headed with hollow chamfered surround, fluted mullion to bipartite. 2 windows with moulded archtiravesto 2nd floor. Ball finial to gable apex. Date stone '1881'. Corner tower with arrow-loop, piended slate roof divided by flight holes, and surmounted by weathervane. Tall stack at wallhead to left.

Plate glass lower, 2-pane upper, sash and case windows. Grey slate roof. Flanked by lower buildings, side walls built up to coped parapet. Original square rainwater goods.
