Description
Springbank Cottage in Muirfield, Luss, dates from 1860 and is a single-storey, gabled L-plan cottage. The exterior features painted rubble with painted stone margins, projecting eaves, and exposed rafters.
On the main elevation, the gable is positioned to the outer right and includes a bipartite timber window. There is a porch in the re-entrant angle to the right, which has a gable that breaks the eaves and is dated 1860. To the outer right, there is a blank bay, and a bipartite window is located in the gable on the right return. The cottage has a modern addition at the rear.
The windows are made of plate glass in timber sash and case style. The roof is covered with graded grey slate and features lead flashings, along with an apex stack with round cans.
