Description
South Lodge at Rossdhu is an early 19th-century building featuring a classical arched gateway with two pavilion lodges on either side. The gateway has a round-arched keystoned design, with paired Tuscan columns that support an entablature, which is topped with painted Colquhoun Heraldic arms.
The flanking lodges are single-storey and square in plan, constructed from ashlar stone. They originally had round-arched openings that are now blocked, and each lodge is accented by paired corner pilasters that support a blocking course. Additionally, there are cast-iron railings on a low plinth wall surrounding the property.
