Description
The Village Hall in Carrbridge, built around 1900 in the style of John Robertson from Inverness, is a symmetrical single-storey building with a wide three-bay gabled design facing east. It features coursed rubble construction with contrasting tooled ashlar margins and dressings. The central bay projects and includes a round-headed recessed entrance with a shaped light and double leaf-plank round-headed doors. There is a later side entrance as well. On either side of the entrance, there are large round-headed windows with wooden astragals and plain glazing, along with a lunette in the south gable and a further narrow round-headed window and door in the north gable. The building has deep bracketed eaves with wooden finials, an end stack, a ridge ventilator, and a slate roof. There are extensions at the rear.
