Description
6 Trinity Place in Elgin is a building designed by William Robertson, constructed between 1825 and 1826. Originally a single-storey structure, it was raised to two storeys sometime between 1855 and 1879. The building now features two storeys and an attic, with a three-bay facade. The front is made of ashlar stone, with wide panelled outer pilasters and rubble on the sides.
The central bay projects and includes a recessed doorway, which has a hoodmould above it, as well as a hoodmould over the left ground floor window. To the right, there is a later square bay window with a parapet, and a canted wooden bay window on the north elevation, both featuring tripartite designs. All the windows on the front elevation have three-light Gothic glazing set in chamfered reveals. The building also has two canted dormers and a piended slate roof.
