Description
Prince's Well in Boquhan is a freshwater well dated 1790, located in a grotto-like setting on sloping ground to the north. It features an ashlar obelisk that is swept at the base and inscribed with "Princes Well 1790," topped with a cross finial on a square-plan ashlar plinth. At the rear, there is a wrought iron gate that leads to a barrel-vaulted brick reservoir chamber set into the hillside. Steps run up behind the chamber, and there is a series of cascading pools that step down from the obelisk.
