GV II

Former village well of mid C19. Ashlar. In Gothic style c3m high. Back wall has shouldered coped gable with open trefoil within. Below is inscrip- tion tablet with niche underneath. Within niche a small stone lion's head. To either side of niche a miniature buttress and low convex walls curving forward. Opening in centre. Base concreted C20. Inscription reads 'All ye who hither come to drink/Rest not your thoughts below/Remember Jacob's well and think/Whence "living waters" flow.'
