Description

Hill Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th and 18th centuries, located on the south side of Main Street in Greetham. The house is constructed of coursed rubble stone with quoins, stone dressings, and a 20th-century buff tile roof with stone coped gables and brick end stacks. It has a T-shaped plan with a gable facing the street, and a wing extending to the left. The facade features sash windows with stone sills. To the left of the front door is a three-pane window over which is an 8/8 ½ dormer; a six-panel door with overlight leads up a flight of steps; to the right is a three-pane window on both floors, within a gable. On the right-hand end of the facade are two 3/3 windows and an 8/8 ½ dormer, and below, an 8/8 window, a partly-glazed door, and a three-light mullion and transom window. A stone mounting block is located by the front door. There is an extension to the right. Inside, the house has chamfered beams.
