Description
The Walnuts is a house built in 1769, with later extensions added in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble stone, featuring stone dressings and a Collyweston slate roof, which has rendered brick stacks at both ends. The building has a plinth and stone-coped gables. It stands two storeys high and has a symmetrical front with two 2/2 sash windows and two blocked windows. A central stone tablet displays the inscription 'SWN : 1769'. There are additional sash windows at both ends of the house, and a two-storey wing at the rear that includes a door, more windows, and buff brick ridge and end stacks.
