Description
The outbuilding at Number 30 is a workshop, now serving as an outbuilding, dating from the mid-19th century. It features fragments of medieval church stonework and is constructed from coursed squared rubble stone, likely topped with a Swithland slate roof and a brick stack on the left end. The building has quoins and stone-coped gables, with the right gable adorned with a finial.
It stands two stories high and has three windows, each with brick cambered lintels and brick sills. From left to right, the windows include a seven-pane window with a two-light horizontal sliding sash above, a six-panelled door with a six-pane window above it, and a pair of carriage doors with a six-pane window above. A first-floor band or shelf is supported by carved head label stops, some of which are medieval, and above this, pieces of Perpendicular tracery are set into the wall, which is otherwise blank.
On the left end, there is a one-light window and fragments of cusped carving. The right end features a two-light horizontal sliding sash window, a door above, and a window with 19th-century tracery above it. Once a stonemason's workshop, this building possesses a unique character.
