Description

Said to be originally circa 1780, rebuilt circa 1810/1820

with mid 19th. century wing on left, matched in

style and material. 2-storey, polished ashlar front,

with regular cross patterened stugging to basement

at south east. Original house has 3-window front with

pedimented fluted Ionic columned doorpiece, up steps

contained within panelled dies, architraves and cornices

at ground floor windows, architraves at first floor

and panelled pilaster angles, cornice and blocking

course. Wing has bipartite at ground floor and single

light at first, similar treatment. Original glazing.

Piended slated roofs, with rebuilt and rendered stack to

right. Single window north west elevation. Rear

elevation 2-window original and 2-window extension.

3-window south east elevation, with blocked centre

ground floor and original basement glazing.

Low table sundial in front of house on short baluster,

floriated at the base, square pedestal. Rubble garden

terrace wall, open arcade with diagonal shafts,

crenellation and steps down to basement level. Rubble

garden wall with 2 panelled ashlar gatepiers surmounted

by fine urns.
