4 Newlands Place, East Kilbride

4 Newlands Place in East Kilbride is a single-storey and attic L-plan house built around 1935, featuring a reed-thatch roof. The exterior is painted white and has timber window surrounds, with a later flat-roofed extension added at the rear.

The southeast elevation, which faces the entrance, includes a recessed entrance porch with a corner column on the right side. Within the porch recess, there is a seven-pane window. The centre of this elevation has a narrow four-pane rectangular window, while to the left is a larger 16-pane window. There are also two attic dormers, each with thatched hoods.

On the northeast elevation, there is a door and a single window to the right, along with a single window in the attic that features a projecting curved architrave.

The northwest elevation, which is the rear of the house, has a wing that extends to the right, creating an asymmetrical blind gable. This elevation has a very steep skew and includes a chimneystack on the left and a shorter one on the right.
