Description
This building, located on Newton Road in Strathaven, dates back to 1779 and was likely raised in the early 19th century. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The exterior is rendered with painted margins. The central door features the initials "J G" and the date on the lintel, along with a fleur-de-lis pattern on the raised keystone. Sash windows are present throughout the building, which also has an eaves course and cornice. There are end stacks and a slate roof. Additionally, single-storey flanking wings create a U-plan steading.
