Description
Springhill is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house with a wing set at right angles to the left. The exterior is harled, featuring painted margins and rusticated quoins. The central door is framed by a pilastered doorpiece within an advanced crow-stepped gabled bay, which also has a window above and a small round-headed blocked attic window. There are single windows in the outer bays, with those on the ground floor set in shallow projections that have bracketed cornices. The house has sash windows with lying-pane glazing throughout, most of which are adorned with lugged architraves. A dentilled cornice runs along the top, complemented by straight skews and gable-head stacks that also feature dentilled cornices. The roof is slate. The left wing has a crow-stepped gable, single windows, and a round-headed attic window. There is also a single-storey rectangular block to the southeast. The garden walls behind the house include a ball finial on the northwest wall.
