National Bank Of Scotland Offices, 112 Cadzow Street, Hamilton

The National Bank of Scotland Offices, located at 112 Cadzow Street in Hamilton, were designed by Cullen, Lockhead and Brown around 1905. The building features stugged coursers with ashlar dressings. The central entrance has a moulded doorpiece with an uncarved panel, flanked by two shops that retain their original fronts. These shop fronts include recessed and slightly canted three-light windows and recessed doors, with small paned upper glazed areas beneath a continuous cornice.

On the first floor, there are three windows set under a central gable adorned with three finials and scroll skewputs. The outer bays feature tripartite windows beneath deeply shadowed bell-cast bracketed eaves, supported by octagonal terminal piers topped with obelisk finials. The roof is slated and includes corniced ashlar stacks, and the building retains its original small paned glazing.
