Description

Earlier 19th century with later alterations and additions. Single storey, 5-bay rectangular-plan former lodge with splayed end bays and recessed bay to outer right; 2-storey modern piended and lean-to extensions to right and rear built on ground falling steeply to NE . Harled with painted blocked cills. Round-arched windows.

SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set replacement timber panelled door in slightly advanced, pedimented bay to centre; vestigial block to pediment apex. Window in each bay flanking. Blank recessed bay to outer right.

Irregularly fenestrated side and rear elevations with garage beneath extension to right (SE).

Replacement 2-pane uPVC casement windows. Grey slate swept piended roof; slate and felt to additions; cast-iron rainwater goods with some uPVC replacements.

BOUNDARY WALL: low sandstone ashlar wall with ridge ashlar cope.
