Grange Hotel Annexe, 9 Carlisle Road, Hamilton

The Grange Hotel Annexe, located at 9 Carlisle Road in Hamilton, is a late Georgian villa dating from around 1810. This two-storey building is set within spacious grounds and features a stuccoed exterior that is painted and lined out to resemble ashlar stone. The front facade is symmetrical with three windows and a central door, which is framed by fluted Roman Doric columns. The ground floor windows are supported by consoles, while the upper windows have modern shutters.

The building is topped with a good arcaded parapet, likely added around 1850, which encloses a piended slated roof that has tall corniced end stacks. At the rear, there is a rubble-built wing with irregular window placements, including two first-floor gablet dormer windows. Additionally, there is a garage wing located at the north end of the property. The windows feature later four-pane glazing.
