Huntingdon Lodge, 27-29 Moffat Road, Dumfries

Huntingdon Lodge, located at 27-29 Moffat Road in Dumfries, is an earlier 19th century late Georgian villa that is two stories high and has three bays. The building features a modern wing to the southwest and has undergone alterations and additions in the late 19th century. It is constructed of droved red ashlar with polished dressings and has slated roofs.

The east elevation includes steps leading to a central porch supported by Roman Doric columns, featuring a round-headed doorway with a fanlight and sidelights. The windows are architraved and consist of sashes with a 4-pane glazing pattern. There is a string course between the floors, an eaves course, and a cornice, along with symmetrical chimney stacks. To the left, there is a full-height two-bay wing that is recessed, and there are single-storey wings at both the north and south ends.

The west elevation also has a basement and features canted full-height outer bays with segmental pediments. There is a central stair window with an arched panel above it, and a single dormer is present on both the north and south sides.
