Description

14 Craigie Road is an early 20th-century single-storey, three-bay gate lodge constructed from squared sandstone with ashlar dressings. It features timber eaves and square-headed window openings with quoin detailing and cills.

On the south elevation, there are steps leading to a re-entrant angle, where an off-centre timber gabled entrance porch is located. This porch has a timber door with a letterbox fanlight above it and a terracotta finial at the apex. To the left of the porch is a single window, and to the right is a canted bay with a bipartite window in the centre.

The west elevation, facing Craigie Road, has single windows at the outer right and left. The north elevation was not visible in 1999, while the east elevation is asymmetrical, with windows on both the left and right sides.

The lodge features timber sash and case windows, with four and six panes in the upper sashes. It has a slate roof with terracotta ridge detailing and timber eaves, along with cast-iron rainwater goods.

The gatepiers are square in plan, and decorative cross-headed iron railings sit atop a coped boundary wall. The interior was not seen in 1999.
