Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey, 4-bay paired villa on corner site. Coursed sandstone, slightly raised quoins. Base course; central dividing string course; eaves course (timber eaves); cornice; blocking course. Aprons to 1st floor canted windows.

NW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 2 segmental-arched entrances at ground floor (entrance to right now converted to single window); timber door; letterbox fanlight; 2 single windows aligned above at 1st floor; continuous circular-pattern wrought iron balcony; heavy consoled supports. Flanking canted bays at ground and 1st floor.

SW (PARK CIRCUS) ELEVATION: 3-bay. Off-centre segmental-arched doorpiece; timber door; letterbox fanlight; single window aligned above at 1st floor; circular-pattern wrought iron balcony; heavy consoled supports. Regular fenestration to canted bay to right and single window bay to left; square plaques to inner left at ground and 1st floor.

SE ELEVATION: gabled single storey additions advanced to right of ground floor, regular fenestration to remaining bays.

NE ELEVATION: not seen 1999.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows. Slate roof; iron finials; pitch corniced stacks; corniced and circular cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen 1999.

GATEPIERS, GATES AND BOUNDARY WALL: painted gatepiers to No 9; stone to No 1; iron gatepiers and gates to vehicular entrance to No 1. Stepped, coped rubble boundary wall.
