Description

Mid 19th century, with later additions. 2-storey, 3-bay corner-sited classical villa. Ashlar; channelled at ground floor. Base course; 1st floor cill course; eaves course; cornice. Architraved margins to 1st floor windows.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central columned, pedimented entrance porch; steps to entrance; modern fascia; 2-leaf glazed timber doors; timber boarding to letterbox fanlight; single window aligned above at 1st floor. Flanking tripartite windows set in advanced pedimented bays. Modern extension to right (see Notes).

N (SIDE) ELEVATION: 3-bay. Regular fenestration to both floors (central blind bay). Modern extension to left (see Notes).

S AND E ELEVATIONS: not seen 1999.

Modern glazing. Piended grey slate roof; rooflight; wallhead stack; circular cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1999.

RAILINGS AND BOUNDARY WALL: spear-headed iron railings surmount low coped boundary wall enclosing site. Large modern gate to Racecourse Road.
