Description

James Paton, later 19th century. 2-storey, 15-bay terrace (3 blocks of 5-bay tenements). Coursed sandstone. Base course; band course; eaves course; cornice. Raised quoins. Margins to openings; bipartite windows at ground floor.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: regular sequence of entrances to penultimate bays of each 5-bay block; bipartite windows to remaining bays at ground floor; regular fenestration at 1st floor (blind central window to each block).

Predominantly 3- and 6-pane timber sash and case windows (some modern glazing). Grey slate roof; stone skews; rooflights; coped gablehead and ridge stacks; circular and polygonal cans.

INTERIORS: not seen 1998.

GATEPIERS, RAILINGS AND BOUNDARY WALL: iron gatepiers and gates; iron railings and low coped boundary wall enclose site.
