27 Miller Road, Ayr

25 Miller Road in Ayr is a villa designed by John Murdoch in 1870. It is a two-storey building with an attic and features four bays, along with single and two-storey extensions on the outer right and left sides. The exterior is made of ashlar stone and includes a base course, a first-floor cill course, an eaves course, a cornice, and a blocking course.

On the north elevation, there are coupled fluted columns that support a central recessed porch, which has two-leaf timber doors and fanlights. Above this, there is a round-arched balustraded parapet. The first floor has two single windows, and there is a flat-roofed dormer in the attic. The flanking canted bays at both the ground and first floors have regular fenestration, with a flat-roofed dormer to the right in the attic. To the outer left, there is a timber door and a single window, while the outer right features single windows at both the ground and first floors.

The windows are predominantly plate glass and four-pane timber sash and case. The roof is covered with grey slate, and it has stone skews, coped gable heads, pitch stacks, and circular cans.

The interiors were not seen in 1998. The property is enclosed by a low coped boundary wall that surrounds the entrance elevation, which includes modern gatepiers, gates, and railings.
