Town Hall, 73 High Street, Coldstream

The Town Hall, located at 73 High Street in Coldstream, was built in 1862 and features a simple classical style. It is a two-storey building with a three-bay front, which is articulated by four Tuscan pilasters on a base course.

The central entrance consists of a double-leaf panelled door flanked by sidelights, all of which have recessed aprons and are topped with a cornice and a block pediment. The flanking sash windows also have similar aprons, cornices, and pediments. On the first floor, there are square windows with architraves. The building is topped with an entablature and a pedimented gable.

On the side elevation, the building remains two-storey with three bays divided by pilaster strips and features a base course. The ground floor windows are tripartite, while the first floor has Venetian windows, both types having cill courses and brackets. Additionally, there is a narrow later ground floor window that has been inserted into the pilaster at the centre right. The roof is slate.
