Post Office, Cheadle, Main Street, Gavinton

The Post Office in Cheadle, located on Main Street in Gavinton, is a later 19th century building that has undergone some alterations and additions. It is a two-storey, five-bay house that forms the end of a terrace and is finished with harled exterior.

On the north elevation, there is a window at the center of the ground floor, with a piended dormer that breaks the eaves above it. To the inner right, there is a modern partly-glazed door, while the outer right features a panoramic window. The inner left bay has a window, and the outer left bay includes a modern partly-glazed door, also with a piended dormer above.

The south elevation is not fully visible as of 1995, but it features four piended dormers. The building has a variety of modern windows and is topped with a slate roof that includes brick and harled stacks.

The interior was not seen in 1995.
