Jubilee Cottages West, Main Street, Gavinton

Jubilee Cottages East, located on Main Street in Gavinton, were built in 1897 and have undergone some later alterations. This two-storey pair of terraced houses features six bays. The house on the east side is constructed of rubble with droved ashlar dressings, while the central house is harled with droved ashlar dressings.

On the north elevation, each house has a modern door located in the center, topped with a letterbox plate glass fanlight. There is a square name and date plaque positioned at the first floor of the central house. The flanking bays have windows at both the ground and first floors, with the first-floor windows breaking the eaves and featuring gabled tops with ashlar finials.

The south elevation is not fully visible as of 1995, but it also shows breaking eaves and gabled features at the first floor. The Jubilee Cottages have modern timber plate glass pivoted windows and slate roofs, along with brick chimney stacks. The interior was not seen in 1995.
