Description
49 Harbour Road is a mid to late 18th century, three-storey, three-bay mansion that was subdivided into flats around 1900. The east front features a poor-quality single-storey lean-to addition on the north side. Originally, the building had a central door at the ground level, rectangular windows on the ground and first floors, and squarish windows in the attic storey beneath the eaves. It has a tall, sloped, slated platform roof with later chimneys placed asymmetrically. The flanks of the building are also three bays and are rendered with ashlar dressings.
