Description

The War Memorial in Duns, built around 1920, features an obelisk that stands on a pedestal with a segmental pediment and a stepped base. Each side of the pedestal has granite plaques; the front plaque includes an inscription, while the names of individuals are listed on the sides and rear. Above the front plaque is the town crest, and the front face of the obelisk is adorned with a laurel wreath, crossed standards, and the inscription "FOR KING AND COUNTRY."
