Description

The Obelisk to Prince Albert, dated 1862, is a granite structure located on elevated ground. It stands on a stepped dais and a square pedestal made of ashlar, featuring a billetted cornice. The obelisk is approximately 24 feet high and is topped with a Greek block pediment and acroteria on each face. One side of the pedestal includes a shield panel that is inscribed with a gilded dedication.
