Description
This is an icehouse built around 1820, designed as a domed structure partially underground. It is set into sloping ground and features a segmental-arched wall made of squared rubble on the northern elevation. This wall includes a segmental-arched entrance doorway made of polished ashlar leading to an anti-chamber located on the northeast side. There is a hatch in the sloping wall that provides access to the internal chamber. The interior is constructed with roughly squared and coursed red rubble, and the building is topped with a turf roof over the domed vault.
