Description
12 The Row in Lauder is an early 19th-century single-storey, double-fronted end of terrace cottage. The principal elevation is made of coursed whinstone rubble, while the west gable end is harled. The openings feature irregular long and short surrounds.
On the north elevation, there is an entrance to the left of centre with a dressed stone lintel and left jamb, leading to a plain timber door and a rectangular fanlight. Flanking windows are present on this elevation.
The west elevation is blank, and the east elevation adjoins No 14 The Row.
The cottage has 2-pane timber sash and case windows and a grey slate roof. There is a harled gablehead stack with a round can on the west side. The interior was not inspected in 1998.
