Description
Gleneagles Station, dated 1919, features a single-storey ticket office that is L-shaped. It has a segmental-headed door leading to a flat-roofed porch located in the re-entrant angle, along with a cantilevered glazed canopy. The exterior is harled with a stugged ashlar base-course and includes crowstepped gables and a bay window on the north side. There is an iron bridge connecting to the platform, which has single-storey offices that are also harled with ashlar base-courses and topped with hipped slate roofs. Long cantilevered glazed canopies extend over the platforms. Additionally, there is a low rubble boundary wall in the forecourt, featuring rustic stone balustrading on the eastern side.
