Description

1801/3. (Richard Crichton? c.f. parapet detail

Abercairny 1803). Single symmetrical 2-storey and

basement Gothic block, squared coursed rubble, N.W.

entrance front has 3-window centre, raised parapet (and

formerly crenellated canted porch with arches) between

octagonal turrets; single outer bays have canted oriels,

2 light windows above; N.E. and S.W. elevations 2-window

square-headed with hood moulds, modern addition at

former; S.E. front 3-window centre bow flanked by angle

turrets, 1-window either side, basement full storey this

elevation. Traceried metal parapet, stone at centre

features. Simple interior, entrance hall has arcaded

gothic cornice, detail otherwise mainly classical.
