Description

Dated 1866, extended at rear. Single storey and attic, 3-bay gate lodge with baronial details. Squared and snecked rubble with stugged ashlar dressings. Eaves course. Round-arched doorway, shaped windowheads to gables. Hoodmould.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: advanced gabled bay to left of centre with single windows to ground and gablehead; pyramidally-roofed porch in re-entrant angle to right, with moulded roundheaded doorway and decorative hoodmould incorporating segmentally-arched, finialled pediment (above eaves) with date '1866' and monogrammed 'GRB' surmounted by crest. Single window in set-back bay to right.

NE (COUPAR ANGUS ROAD) ELEVATION: gabled elevation with window to ground and gablehead. Taller extension set-back to right.

SW ELEVATION: gabled bay to right of centre with 2 windows at ground and small gablehead window.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: variety of elements to altered elevation including catslide roof to right and advanced gabled extension to left.

Modern glazing throughout. Coped ashlar ridge stack; stepped ashlar-coped skews with moulded skewputts and stone-finialled gableheads.
