42 Commissioner Street With Lamp Standard, Crieff

42 Commissioner Street is a traditional two-storey, three-bay house built in 1774, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is part of an irregular terrace that runs to the northwest and is constructed of rubble with raised ashlar margins.

The northeast elevation, which faces the entrance, features a door with a plate glass fanlight on the outer left. There is a window slightly off-centre to the left, with a blinded door immediately to the right at the centre, and another window on the outer right. The first floor has three regularly spaced windows close to the eaves. The glazing is modern, and the roof is covered with grey slates. The building has coped ashlar stacks with cans and ashlar-coped skews that include scroll skewputts.

Additionally, there is a decorative cast-iron lamp standard located at the property.
